SkyWeek is designed for those who wish to see the world differently! As you can see from our Past Projects below, we've been involved in some pretty awesome adventures over the years. SkyWeek is our way of sharing amazing flying experiences with Pilots who have completed their APPI PPG Pilot license with us or those who hold a similar qualification. For further information or to book onto a SkyWeek contact SkySchool.

Past Projects

  • In 2007 SkySchool Instructor Dean Eldridge was commissioned by the Scientific Exploration Society to fly over the Bolivian rain forest in search of a remote meteorite crater. His aerial support allowed the ground team to navigate their way through the thick undergrowth all the way to the crater.
  • In 2009 SkySchool MD Alex Ledger featured in the Channel 4 Series 'Daredevils', in which he instructed Neil Laughton on his First Solo Flight in the Parajet SkyCar.
  • In 2014 Alex founded Flying for Heroes, which involved teaching a group of Wounded, Injured and Sick Military Personnel how to fly ParaTrikes, before leading them on a 1000k trip up the Rift Valley in Kenya.
  • In 2015 The Adventurists approached SkySchool to help run the inaugural Icarus Trophy, a 1000k Paramotor Race from Seattle to Sacramento.
  • In 2016 Alex led a team of pilots, including double amputee Cayle Royce, on the record breaking 1200k JOGLE Expedition from John O'Groats to Lands End.
  • In 2016 Alex ran a WW1 Battlefield Tour for a group of qualified Paramotor and ParaTrike Pilots around the Somme and Vimy Ridge Battlefields in France.
  • In 2017 Alex Ledger and John Coles were part of the team behind the BBC TV series 'Extreme Wales with Richard Parks', you'll have to tune in to see more about that epic adventure! We love hearing from like-minded adventurers, so if you think we can help or would like to be part of a SkyWeek contact us.
