1. 1 & 2 Day Taster Course: Open Sky Level

Advanced Ground handling on the beach in OmanThe 1 & 2 Day Taster Course follows the first few days of the APPI PPG syllabus and takes place over weekends in Muscat, Oman. They are designed for complete beginners and allow students to learn the basic skills required to fly. During the Taster Course the aim is to get the student off the ground while flying a Paraglider under tow. If the weather allows it also includes a tandem flight. 2. 6 Day Beginner Course: Adventure Pilot

Ground Handling in OmanThe beginner course follows the first half of the APPI PPG Pilot syllabus and is designed for complete beginners or Paraglider pilots with less than 20 hours. Training consists of ground handling, motor usage instruction, basic lectures and normally culminates in at least 1 solo flight. At the end of the course students should attain the APPI PPG Adventure Pilot rating, allowing them to advance onto the 6 Day Intermediate Paramotoring Course. 3. 6 Day Intermediate Course: Pilot Level

Paramotoring in the Desert in OmanThe 6 day intermediate course follows the second half of the APPI PPG Pilot syllabus and is designed for intermediates who have either sat a 6 day Adventure Pilot Level course or Paraglider pilots with more than 20 hours experience. It consists of further training such as low level flying, precision landings and cross country tasks. The course also covers further theory including meteorology, air law, navigation, effects of the motor on the wing and more. 4. 12 Day Pilot Course: Pilot Level

The 12 day course follows the full APPI PPG Pilot syllabus and is made up of the 6 Day Beginners course and the 6 Day Intermediate course, as described above. It is designed for complete beginners or Paraglider Pilots with less than 20 hours who wish to attain the full APPI PPG Pilot license. 5. 6 Day Advanced Course: Advanced Pilot

It is designed for pilots who hold an APPI PPG Pilot License and wish to improve their flying skills and knowledge through a series of advanced lectures and tasks, these include low level flying, spot landings, dynamic flying, thermalling, reflex wings and cross country flying. At the end of the course Pilots should attain the APPI PPG Advanced Pilot License and have the skills to maximise their flying experience. 6. 6 Day Instructor Course: Professional Levels

The 6 day instructor course follows the APPI PPG Instructor syllabus. It is designed for Advanced Pilots who have at least 50 hours experience who wish to become Assistant Instructors, as well as for very experienced pilots who wish to become qualified APPI PPG Instructors. During the course each trainee will be assessed both practically and theoretically to see whether they qualify as an Assistant or Instructor. An APPI PPG Instructor is a role model who has a high level of experience and knowledge of Paramotoring skills, theory and instruction, while an Assistant Instructor who requires more experience working in a school environment under the supervision of a fully qualified instructor. Further Information

SkySchool's Oman courses take place near Muscat, Oman. Direct flights take approximately 7 hours from London to Muscat and can be as little as £350 return if booked in advance. We work closely with Haffa House Hotel which is 15 minutes drive from the SkySchool offices in Muscat. A single room costs 30 OMR a night and can be booked through us. All practical training takes place an hour outside of Muscat on the coast at Suwadi. We can provide a transportation service to and from the hotel if necessary however a hire car is recommended. Training courses run throughout the week and weekend, with a rest day each Sunday. Course dates can be arranged around each individual.
