SkySchool has been running Adventures for many years, in fact this is the main reason we took up Paramotoring and Paragliding in the first place! As you can see from our Past Projects below we've been involved in some pretty awesome expeditions and adventures around world. We now wish to share these amazing experiences with those we've taught to fly over the years, as well as other qualified pilots who share our passion for Adventure. Over the next 12 months we will be running the following Adventures. For further information on these contact SkySchool:

Past Projects

SkySchool's first expedition was in 2007 with the Scientific Exploration Society during which Dean Eldridge flew over the Bolivian rain forest in search of a remote meteorite crater. His aerial support allowed the ground team to navigate their way through the thick undergrowth all the way to the crater while Dean triangulated radio messages back to Base Camp. In 2009 SkySchool MD Alex Ledger was part of the Skycar Expedition and instructed Neil Laughton at the airfield in Spain during the car's first ever flight. In 2014 we ran the Flying for Heroes expedition in Kenya, prior to which we taught a group of Wounded, Injured and Sick Military Personnel how to fly ParaTrikes in Spain. Paramotors are also useful aerial recce tools and as a passionate Military Historian Alex has run several Battlefield Tours over the WW1 and WW2 Battlefields in France. In 2015 The Adventurists approached SkySchool to help run the inaugural Icarus Trophy, a 1000km Paramotor Race from Seattle to Sacramento. We taught a group of complete beginners how to fly for the event and also acted as the Race Committee. In July 2016 Alex led a team of pilots, including double amputee Cayle Royce, on the record breaking 1200km JOGLE Expedition from John O'Groats to Lands End. We continue to plan other exciting Adventures and love hearing from like-minded adventurers, so if you think we can help or would like to be part of a SkySchool Adventure contact us.
