Location and Accommodation Information
Location
SkySchool Spain is based at Aerodromo Ordis in Catalunya in the north east of Spain. The nearest town is Figueres, the birth place of Salvador Dali, which is less than 10 minutes away. Aerodromo Ordis is a privately owned Microlight airfield with two grass runways, three hangers, a cafe, en suite accommodation, a swimming pool and a Church! 
Figueres is easily accessible both by road and rail. The AP-7 motorway makes the French border less than 1 hour to the north and Barcelona 2 hours to the south. There are two international airports less than 90 minutes away both of which are linked by regular bus and train services to Figueres. The Costa Brava coastline is 25 minutes to the east and provides a wide range of activities. To the north the Pyrenees present a beautiful back drop making this location a fantastic place to learn how to fly!

Transport
There are two international airports less than 75 minutes from Figueres which are serviced by a wide variety of budget airlines. Airport collections/drop offs are avaiable from E30 per person/per way:
Girona Airport is 1 hour to the south and is a Ryan Air hub. There are plenty of cheap flights available from a wide range of locations around Europe. There are train and bus services from the airport to Figueres. For further information on these flights visit the Ryan Air website.
Perpignan Airport is 75 minutes to the north of Figueres, just inside the French border. It is serviced by Ryan Air, Flybe and BMI Baby. There are train and bus services from the airport to Figueres.

Directions to Aerodromo Ordis:
If hiring a car from Girona Airport we recommend one takes the AP-7 Toll road north towards Figueres. Leave the AP-7 just south of Figueres before driving towards the town. If possible, follow the ring road round to the west of Figueres, before taking the N-260 towards Olot and Besalu. Follow the N-260 for exactly 7 kilometres and then turn left into the Aerodrome, having just driven up and then down a slight incline. If you reach the Torremirona Golf Course then you have gone approximately 1k too far; if in doubt contact us. We recommend you print a copy of the Google Map of Aerodromo Ordis.
Food at the Aerodrome
SkySchool Spain has its own little cafe where we have a chef who prepares all of the food. Included in the accommodation package is a 'serve yourself' continental breakfast consisiting of cereal, toast, tea, coffee etc. Lunch and Supper are provided seperately at an extra cost. Lunch normally consists of a mediterranean salad, cold meats and fresh bread. Supper is good honest home cooking and dishes vary from Spanish Paella and Chinese stir fry to beef stew and chicken stroganoff. Wine is also served during supper which is finished off with a pudding and some cheese. Every week, weather permitting, we also prepare a BBQ. Lunch costs E10 and and supper E10; a total of E20 a day. If you have any special food requirements please contact us in advance.
On certain days we go to the beach to do some ground handling or go flying. In this case we normally eat out for both lunch and supper. If you have any questions about the eating arrangements at Aerodromo Ordis please contact us.
