Paragliding Courses in France France

Every year SkySchool heads to the beautiful French Alps to run some Paragliding holidays for pilots who have completed either a Paramotoring or Paragliding course. In 2010 SkySchool is running an XC/SIV course in Annecy as well as an XC course in St Hilaire which combines with the Coupe Icare festival. These courses are ideal for new pilots keen to develop their knowledge and confidence in the wing.

1. 20th - 27th June: 3 Day XC and 3 Day SIV = £595 (Completed)

2. 12th - 19th Sept: 5 Day XC Training & Coupe Icare festival = £545

NEXT COURSE - 5 Days XC in St Hilaire: 12th - 19th September

Students should aim to arrive at either Geneva or Grenoble airport on Sunday 12th and return home on Sunday 19th. This is an unique trip as the course ends with the Coupe Icare festival in St Hilaire. SkySchool will collect all students from Grenoble train station the afternoon of Sunday 12th. For the next 5 days we will focus on thermaling and developing general paragliding skills, after which we will enjoy Europe's largest Paragliding festival on Saturday before returning home on Sunday.

The Holiday is designed for paramotor and paraglider pilots who want to develop their thermalling skills and also improve their wing control. All pilots will fly from sites and in conditions according to their ability and experience whilst under the supervision of SkySchool instructors. The SIV course is designed for Paraglider pilots with at least 10 hours or Paramotor pilots who have sat a Paragliding conversion course before hand. The XC course is designed for paramotor pilots with limited or no paragliding experience and also for paraglider pilots who want flying holiday while under supervision. The day to day structure of the course is as follows:

09.00: Breakfast

10.00: Daily Briefing

11.30: First Flight

13.30: Lunch Break

15.30: Second Flight

18.00: Third Flight

20.00: Supper

Please note that these times are flexible due to the weather and the sites chosen to fly from. The holiday will be a lot of fun and an excellent opportunity for those new to the sport to experience first hand the freedom and excitement Paragliding offers.
