Paraglide France
Every year SkySchool heads to the beautiful French Alps to run some Paragliding holidays for pilots who have completed either a Paramotoring or Paragliding course. In June 2010 SkySchool ran an XC/SIV course in Annecy and in September 2010 we are running an XC trip in St Hilaire, which combines with the Coupe Icare festival. These trips are ideal for new pilots keen to develop their knowledge and confidence in the wing.
1. 20th - 27th June: XC and SIV in Annecy (Completed)
2. 12th - 19th Sept: XC in St Hilaire & Coupe Icare festival
NEXT TRIP - 5 Days XC in St Hilaire: 12th - 19th September
Students should aim to arrive at either Geneva or Grenoble airport on Sunday 12th and return home on Sunday 19th. This is an unique trip as the course ends with the Coupe Icare festival in St Hilaire. SkySchool will collect all students from Grenoble train station the afternoon of Sunday 12th. For the next 5 days we will focus on thermaling and developing general paragliding skills, after which we will enjoy Europe's largest Paragliding festival on Saturday before returning home on Sunday. The Holiday is designed for paramotor and paraglider pilots who want to develop their thermalling skills and also improve their wing control. All pilots will fly from sites and in conditions according to their ability and experience whilst under the supervision of SkySchool instructors.
The course fee includes all transport from St Hilaire, instruction and radio hire. For those without their own kit we can provide this at an different rate which is shown below. The course fee does not include travel to France, accommodation, food or insurance. SkySchool has a limited amount of equipment to rent however it will be possible to rent in St Hilaire.

Location, Accommodation and Transport for St Hilaire
In St Hilaire we will be staying in a camp site near the village of Le Touvet at the bottom of the mountain and then drive up to the take off site every day. There is also a free shuttle bus during the festival week. SkySchool will be providing tents for those who need them as well as cooking equipment. Camping costs between €5 and €10 a night per person.
Students should aim to arrive and depart on the exact dates advertised by SkySchool, which are the 12th and 19th of September 2010. We recommend you fly with Easyjet to either Geneva or Grenoble before catching a train or bus to Grenoble train station. SkySchool will then collect you from Grenoble Train station and drive to the camp site in St Hilaire. Students should aim to return with Easyjet or Ryan Air from Grenoble or Geneva airport on Sunday 19th September.
