SkySchool runs two types of 6 Day Paragliding courses; the Elementary Pilot Beginner course and the Club Pilot Intermediate course which combine to form the 12 Day EP/CP course. Courses run every Sunday to Sunday from the beginning of May to the end of September. Students should arrive and depart on a Sunday.

6 Day EP Beginners Course: 1990CHF

Tandem Paragliding

The Elementary Pilot (EP) rating is the first stage of the FSVL /BHPA Paraglding syllabus. It is designed for complete beginners who wish to take up Paragliding. The course consists of theoretical and practical training. The theoretical training includes theory of flight, basic meteorology, basic air law and general flying information. The practical training includes introduction to the equipment, launch and ground handling practise and solo flights. At the end of the course one can expect to have had several solo flights, passed the Elementary Pilot course and be ready to sit the Club Pilot course.

Included in the Course: The course fee includes 1: 3 instructor/student ratio instruction, equipment hire, shared accommodation with two to a room, breakfast and supper, transport in Verbier and log books. It does not include Flights, transport to Le Chable, personal insurance, lunch or food/drink off site.

6 Day CP Intermediate Course: 1990CHF

The Club Pilot (CP) rating is the second stage of the FSVL/BHPA Paragliding syllabus. It is designed for beginners who have successfully completed the EP course. The course consists of more advanced theory and practical training. The theoretical training includes advanced meteorology, air law, navigation, emergencies and further information. The practical training includes more advanced techniques such as high wind launches, glider control, thermalling, top landings, emergency procedures, rapid descent techniques and more. At the end of the 5 day course, students should be qualified to fly solo without any supervision and, if they pass the exam, having attained their BHPA CP qualification.

Included in the Course: The course fee includes 1: 3 instructor/student ratio instruction, equipment hire, shared accommodation with two to a room, breakfast and supper, transport in Verbier and log books. It does not include Flights, transport to Le Chable, personal insurance, lunch or food/drink off site.

12 Day EP and CP Course: 2990CHFParagliding in Verbier, Switzerland

The 12 day EP and CP course is for complete beginners who wish to acquire their BHPA Club Pilot rating through an intensive course. The first week of the course consists of the Elementary Pilot course with a day off on Sunday. The second week consists of the Club Pilot course which ends on Saturday afternoon. The theoretical training includes advanced meteorology, air law, navigation, emergencies and more. The practical training includes more advanced techniques such as high wind launches, glider control, thermalling, top landings, emergency procedures, rapid descent techniques and more. At the end of the course most students should be qualified to fly solo without any supervision having attained their BHPA CP qualification.
